Grades 9-12: Biology

ONE WATER CYCLE: Healthy Ocean, Healthy Planet

Project Description

In this course, students learn about the impacts of pollutants such as hormones and chemicals on the ocean including human food sources and resources. They practice essential skills such as collaboration and problem-solving as they explore BlueTech careers. Students will engage in research about the ocean as a vast and largely unexplored area that is vulnerable to the impacts of pollutants. They will take action as they use engineering practices to generate and prototype biomimicry solutions to create a sustainable environment for our blue world (inclusive of humans and fish).

Essential Question

How can we impact the ocean environment to harvest healthy food and resources?
