Third Grade

ONE WATER CYCLE: Marine Naturalists

Project Description

In this course, students learn about the many habitats within the ocean ecosystem. They dive into research about a marine habitat that interests them and connect their research to human impacts on the environment. They realize that their own local ecosystem and human impact has a dramatic effect on the ocean and the plants and animals that call it home. Students research, write and design a storywalk for their own neighborhood ecosystem as a way to educate others about why they should protect these areas, and in doing so, protect the ocean.
