In this project, students learn about the impact of pollutants such as hormones and chemicals on the ocean including food sources and resources. They practice essential skills such as collaboration and problem-solving as they explore blue careers such as BioTech Scientist, Food Science Technician, Environmental Engineer and Water Resource Specialist. Students will engage in research about the ocean as a vast and largely unexplored resource that is vulnerable to the impact of pollutants. Students will take action as they use engineering practices to generate and prototype biomimicry solutions that will create a sustainable environment for our blue world (inclusive of humans and fish).
