A timelapse of the Platte River

Travel along parts of the Platte River on its 900-mile journey from the mountains of Colorado to the plains of Nebraska, where it forms the Platte River Basin. This watershed plays a major role in the irrigation of the area and provides a crucial habitat for continental bird migrations. Filmmaker Michael Forsberg captures the river at work in this stunning time-lapse and encourages a dialogue about water resource appropriation.
