The Antarctic Food Chain Song

To the tune of Itsy Bitsy Spider, this song/poem teaches students about the importance of the food chain in an interactive and fun way.

The Antarctic Food Chain

Itsy, bitsy, plankton
Floating in the sea.
Along comes the krill
and eats it easily.

Next comes the penguin
and the leopard seal,
The antarctic killer whale
finishes up the meal!

SeaWorld offers a template for students to use to recreate the song/poem if desired: https://seaworld.org/-/media/seaworld-dotorg/pdfs/classroom-activities/grades-k_4/k_4_antarctic_food_chain_song.ashx
