Read Alouds: Energy

The read aloud texts below introduce renewable and nonrenewable sources of energy, and then focus on nonrenewable energy, engaging students in conversation about one form of that energy  – coal.  The texts include literature that helps students understand energy as an economic factor, and those whose livelihood is ties to energy production.
